Abstract :

In this article we explore some ethnomusicological questions by presenting the theoretical and methodological foundations of the two systematic and culturalist approaches that have often marked the discipline. Secondly, we present the perspectives of a multidisciplinary globalizing vision that draws on Arab theoretical writings, and is enlightened by the product of human scientific effort, in order to grasp the musical phenomenon. This vision rethinks and replaces the systematic approach on the anthropological path, since it aims to identify individual and collective mental and compositional strategies through musical matter.
